Description
A recent survey revealed “…Adults ages 35 to 44 also experienced the highest increase in mental health diagnoses—45% reported a mental illness in 2023 compared with 31% in 2019—though adults ages 18 to 34 still reported the highest rate of mental illnesses at 50% in 2023.”
This session explores the impact of stress and trauma on mental health. Speakers address benefits of self-awareness and self-care, provide information promoting mindfulness and good mental health while working in unprecedented times. We’ll share strategies on what to do when customers or co-workers demonstrate signs or behaviors of struggling on the job, specific to mental health, including strategies to help address fears. Finally, speakers will discuss how to accommodate individuals with mental illness and create an environment where you can retain valuable employees.
