The Michigan Works! Association is looking for trainers to deliver its existing Business Solutions Professional (BSP) Training curriculum.
Becoming Certified
After completion of the BSP training, the next step is to become a Certified BSP and start working in your community.
BSP certification expires every two years. This encourages our CBSPs to stay active in professional development opportunities and ensure our professionals stay at the top of their game. All CBSPs wear a CBSP pin, use the CBSP signature behind their name and are listed on the Association’s website for two years (see below).
Upon graduation, submission of two fieldwork projects is required to be considered for certification. The goal of these projects is to demonstrate practical application of the BSP Philosophy, including the 5 Elements and the 5-Stage Structured Process. Projects are to be submitted to the Michigan Works! Association Director of Training at training@michiganworks.org.
Projects submitted for review must have begun after the trainee’s cohort began, but do not have to have been initiated after completion of the course. Projects submitted are reviewed twice a year by a panel of at least two CBSPs and will either result in immediate certification, or further inquiry and request for clarification.
Once projects are completed and to standard, candidate will become certified. Their name will be added to the Current Certified Business Solutions Professionals list.
