H2A and H2B Frontline Staff Training

This training session will provide a comprehensive overview of Michigan Works’ role in supporting Michigan’s employers and jobseekers through recruitment and job placement referrals.
Training Highlights:
Agriculture Recruitment System (ARS): Understand how ARS helps employers recruit U.S. workers for agricultural jobs, ensuring a fair and competitive labor market before turning to foreign labor.
Overview of Temporary/Seasonal Foreign Labor Programs
Michigan Works' Role:
In coordinating a broad support system to assist employers in meeting their workforce needs, including business services, as well as with referral and recruitment efforts.
In coordinating referrals with jobseekers interested in criteria job orders posted in connection with future H-2A and H-2B petitions for foreign workers.
Communication: Gain an understanding of the regulatory requirements for documenting referral outcomes and learn how to address employer non-compliance.
Presenters: will be from LEO Agricultural and Foreign Labor Services Section.
