After Governor Whitmer issued an Executive Directive Monday to harness federal resources to help train Michigan workers for critical jobs, Michigan Works! Association CEO Ryan Hundt issued the following statement:
“We appreciate the Governor’s commitment to workforce development and investing in the careers our state needs now and in the future. The Michigan Works! network is proud to help workers succeed by providing on-the-job training resources that lead to industry credentials or certificates. The Governor’s Executive Directive will help us train residents for critical infrastructure jobs. Michigan Works! is ready to work with the Governor and the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity to ensure Michiganders receive the training resources to prepare them for infrastructure careers.”
