Description:
This interactive workshop introduces effective instructional techniques for teaching and coaching cognitive skills. Employers seek job applicants who have interpersonal skills, however, many customers lack these vital skills and teaching these skills is not a straightforward, intuitive process.

Attendees will identify a list of necessary pro-social skills and attitudes that are in demand by employers. Participants observe and practice techniques needed to facilitate effective skills-training including interpersonal skills, anger management, employability skills and more.

Presented By:
Dr. Steve Parese began his career as an educator 25 years ago by teaching and counseling emotionally troubled youth in a variety of therapeutic, community and correctional settings.

For a number of years, he taught at George Washington University where he led a federally-funded teacher preparation program in urban special education.

Parese wrote more than a dozen articles and programs and speaks at national and regional conferences for at-risk youth, ex-offenders and welfare-to-work individuals. He received a Doctorate of Education degree from George Washington University and holds degrees from American and Cornell Universities.

Cancellations are only accepted in writing. You may cancel your registration via fax (517) 371-1140 or email up to three business days prior to the workshop to receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than three business days prior to the workshop will be invoiced, and any payments received will not be refunded. Substitutions are welcome.
