Meet Linda
Linda came to the Isabella County Michigan Works! Service Center after being dislocated from the manufacturing job she had held for several years. Knowing she wanted to change career paths, she worked with her Employment Specialist to decide which training option suited her best.
Linda entered the Office Systems Specialist program at Mid Michigan Community College, receiving assistance with tuition, books, and supplies. Linda’s Employment Specialist was there to help her through every step, providing case management services to help her achieve her goal.
Linda completed her program with honors and became employed full-time working as a Direct Care Worker. In September 2010, Linda was recognized as Employee of the Month acknowledging her hard work and dedication.
